Open to students in grades 10–12, our Construction Trades program uses a pre-apprenticeship style of teaching and on-the-job training. Over the course of the school year, students build a real house from the ground up, working alongside licensed contractors to learn surveying, carpentry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting. When complete, the home is sold at an affordable price to a local family.
Students who complete the Construction Trades program are both college and career ready. Thanks to agreements with local community colleges, students earn college credits, and each year, several students go on to pursue a degree in construction management. For the past several years, the program has achieved a 100% job placement rate.
