About Team KILTS
Founded in 2015, Team KILTS is celebrating its eleventh season with FIRST TECH CHALLENGE. This year’s team has ten members in grades 6-8.

As ambassadors of FIRST for the past eleven years, our intention is to inspire and impact others to also become invested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). We also aspire to create a positive and long lasting impact on students, teams, schools, and most of all, connect with and inspire our community!

2025-2026:  DECODE
DECODE challenges teams to design, build, and program a robot that can navigate a 12 x 12 foot field. Robots score points by completing tasks such as gathering artifacts, delivering them to scoring zones, and coordinating autonomous routines. The game emphasizes precision, strategy, and adaptability, with both autonomous and driver-controlled periods. Alliances must balance speed, accuracy, and teamwork to maximize their score while managing limited resources and time.
