Revised Immunizations Requirements - Effective January 1, 2010
Section 9208 and 9211 of the Michigan Public Health Code requires that students entering 6th grade or changing school districts be immunized against diptheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, polio, hepatitis B and varicella (chickenpox) in order to attend school.

Immunization requirements have been revised. Students age 7 years through 18 years who are changing school districts beginning January 1, 2010, and students entering 6th grade in the fall of 2010 must have the immunizations listed on the following Michigan Department of Community Health flier in order to attend school.

If your child needs these shots, you may take him/her to your doctor or county health department. If you have an objection to any of the immunizations that are recognized under the current public health code, a waiver form is available in the Guidance Office.
