Welcome to Three Fires Elementary

Community involvement is the cornerstone of its culture. For example, a teacher-parent committee plans the yearly school assemblies paid for by the Parent Teacher Organization. The PTO also plans an active calendar of events, including book fairs, Rollerama nights, pizza nights, and activities for students during school breaks and vacation days.

Three Fires was among the first schools to open a student-run branch of LOC Federal Credit Union, which has now been in operation for more than 10 years.

Creating opportunities for students to give back to the community is another longstanding tradition. The school has a commitment to what’s known as "bucket filling"— encouraging those who help without being asked and who spread positive feelings to others. One example among many: a student council of third through fifth graders sponsors fundraisers for Ronald McDonald House and the the Gleaners/Salvation Army food drive.

Three Fires rewards student achievement—academically, socially, and artistically. Named after the school’s mascot, Timberwolves, “Wolf Paw” awards recognize “Paws-itively Awesome” students. Music concerts draw large audiences and showcase students’ awesome talent.
