The Howell Public Schools Brand Licensing Program is designed to protect the district's identity and ensure consistent representation of its brand across all uses. By requiring official licensing for any use of the Howell Public Schools name, logo, or other brand elements, the program maintains the integrity of the district's image while supporting its mission. Revenue generated through the program is reinvested directly into district initiatives, as determined by the superintendent or their designee, further enhancing opportunities for students, staff, and the community.

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and/or symbols of Howell Public Schools are registered trademarks with the Secretary of State, State of Michigan, or are entitled to protection under common law. The Board is committed to actively defending its trademark status. Any use of a Howell Public Schools trademark requires prior written approval from the Superintendent or their designee and must be produced, manufactured, or sold under a license issued by Howell Public Schools.

Like the other associations and leagues (NCAA, NFL, NBA, etc.), the product will carry a distinct label. It will identify the product as “Officially Licensed By Howell Public Schools."
