Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year
Dear Families,

We are so excited to welcome our students back tomorrow. Our staff has been working hard to ensure that the first day of school goes as smoothly as possible and that our students feel welcome, comfortable, and safe as they return to school for the first time since March. As we kick off a new school year, we invite parents to send in their child’s first day of school pictures to our Facebook page to be included in our annual First Day of School Photo Album. We have also created printable first day of school signs that can be found at https://bit.ly/3g9UyWu.

As with the start of any new school year, tomorrow will not be perfect. Our students and staff will be adjusting to new schedules, safety procedures, and so much more, which can be hard. Also, with the anticipation of more parents driving their children to school, we expect longer than normal drop-off and pick-up lines. However, I know that Highlander Nation will rise to the occasion and make this a great school year.

VersaTrans MyStop App
The Versatrans My Stop App has been updated for the new school year. My Stop is a mobile app that provides parents access to bus information such as a child’s assigned bus, bus stop location, and real-time updates on the estimated arrival time at the bus stop. This will allow parents and students to plan for late or on-time arrival, and prevent missed pick-ups. To learn how to download and set up the Versatrans My Stop app, please click here. Please note that for the new school year, passwords were reset to the student’s eight-digit date of birth (MMDDYYYY).

Livingston County Health Department Parent Toolkit
If you have not already done so, please review the Livingston County Health Department’s Parent Toolkit. This toolkit provides an overview of COVID-19 and how schools and the health department will work together should there be a possible case of COVID-19 in a building. You can view the toolkit at https://bit.ly/2PLeaoW. The last two pages of the toolkit contain information about when a student should stay home from school.

As we kick off the school year, I am so thankful for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education.

Sincerely,
Erin J. MacGregor, Ed.S.
