Dear Families,
On Tuesday, we received a generous donation from Mugg & Bopps to address food insecurity within the district. As part of the grand opening celebration of its new Dunkin’ location, Mugg & Bopps donated $2,500 to help cover the costs of school meals for students in need. We are so fortunate to have a community that continues to rally behind its students and youth. To the Mugg & Bopps team, thank you for your continued support of our students.
If you have a freshman, your child should have received an email from me this week regarding my Student Advisory Council. The email invited students to apply to be part of the council. The purpose of the group is to 1) be informed about and advise me on issues facing the district, 2) serve as a liaison to students in the district, 3) work with regional leaders to advance the interests of the overall community, and 4) serve the district and the community. For more information on the council, please click here. The council will meet approximately once a month during the school day (Flex Period). I ask that you to talk to your child about this opportunity and encourage them to apply. The link to apply to join the council was in the email they received.
Our Transportation Department utilizes a mobile app, Versatrans My Stop, on all our buses. This app provides parents access to bus information, such as a child’s assigned bus, bus stop location, and real-time updates on the estimated time of arrival at the bus stop. The app allows parents and students to plan for late or on-time arrival and prevent missed pick-ups. To learn more about the My Stop app, please click here.
