Howell High School Students Visit Puerto Rico

8/18/17 – Recently, eleven Howell High School students spent seven days exploring the rich culture and history of Puerto Rico while practicing their Spanish language skills. The trip was lead by Monica Hacker, Howell High School world language teacher, and Marci Adams, Howell High School world language teacher.  


During the trip, the students explored the El Yunque National Forest a rainforest in Northeastern Puerto Rico the Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve and a bioluminescent bay. The students also visited a coffee plantation, took Salsa dancing lessons and attended a cooking class. Throughout the trip, students were encouraged to use their Spanish language skills whenever possible.
