Artwork by Lydia Garcelon4/13/20 - Five Howell High School students were selected to have their artwork displayed as part of the 2020 Art Scholarship Alert (ASA) hosted by the Lansing Art Gallery. This year, Sophomore Lydia Garcelon was selected as the Grade 10 Portfolio Award Winner and has her entire portfolio on display. Additionally, Junior, Felecia Berendt, Senior Alex Lam, Sophomore Hannah Porta, and Senior Kendall Weinburger also have artwork on display. Since the gallery is currently closed, they have created a virtual show with all of the artwork. You can access the virtual show at https://bit.ly/2xgnVpE. The students' artwork is also displayed below.

Each year students are encouraged to submit a digital portfolio of original works of art to the ASA exhibition. A jury of art professionals determines acceptance into the ASA exhibition and awards based on the quality, consistency, and depth of work in the portfolio. Additionally, one portfolio at each grade level receives an ASA Portfolio Award, and that student has multiple works displayed. All other accepted portfolios have one work displayed.
