Students at Highlander Way Middle School recently learned about cyber safety, bullying and their digital footprint during the Michigan Cyber Safety Initiative (Michigan CSI) presentation. Michigan’s OK2SAY program was also thoroughly explained to students during the presentation. Michigan CSI is a program of the Attorney General’s office.

During the middle school CSI program students learn what the OK2SAY program is, how it works, what they can report, how to submit a report and what happens when the report is received. Students also learn about bullying, cyberbullying and how to protect themselves online and discuss the power that their words can hold.

Parker Middle School students will attend a Michigan CSI presentation on Sept. 22. The district is working with the Attorney General’s office to schedule a community seminar on cyber safety. To learn more about the Michigan CSI program, please visit https://goo.gl/3lxYy5.
