12/19/16 – The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) has announced that Thomas Gould, Howell Public Schools director of public relations has been selected as a member of its 2016-2017 35 Under 35 Class. The 35 Under 35 program recognizes outstanding NSPRA professional members from across the United States, age 35 or younger, who have demonstrated excellence and leadership early in their school public relations career. Gould was nominated for this honor by the Michigan School Public Relations Association (MSRPA) board of directors.
“It is exciting to see these young professionals step up to meet the challenges of our school communication profession,” said Rich Bagin, APR, NSPRA executive director. “They continue to grow and also have much to share with all NSPRA members.”
“Tom is a valuable member of the Howell Public Schools team. Each day he works to ensure that our community knows about all of the incredible things happening around our district,” said Erin MacGregor, Howell Public Schools superintendent. “Additionally, Tom is always working to improve his skillset and knowledge base by attending professional development conferences and staying on top of new public relations and marketing trends.”
“I am incredibly humbled and honored to be named to NSPRA’s 2016-2017 35 Under 35 Class,” said Gould. “We have amazing students, teachers, staff and administrators in Howell and I feel incredibly lucky to have the responsibility of sharing their accomplishments with our community.”
Gould has worked for Howell Public Schools since 2013. He is an active member of MSPRA serving on the association’s professional development committee.
