Howell High School Ribbon Warriors Raise More Than $10,000 to Support Howell Schools Community
The grand total is in and Howell High School’s annual Ribbon Warriors
fundraiser raised more than $10,000 to support Howell Public Schools
families battling cancer. For the fundraiser, 11 Howell High School
students and Erin MacGregor, Howell Public Schools superintendent agreed
to collect donations and have their heads shaved to support this cause.
by the Howell High School Interact Club, in past years, the fundraiser
has supported the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. This year, the Interact
Club created a new organization called the Howell High School Ribbon
Warriors. According to Sarah Cortez, Howell Interact Club president, the
change from St. Baldrick’s to Ribbon Warriors was made as a way to
ensure that the money raised will stay local and support those battling
cancer within the Howell Public Schools community. Any Howell Public
Schools family that is in need of financial assistance relating to a
battle with cancer can apply by contacting Joan Blair in the Howell High
School Guidance Office at email@example.com.
