Samsung Techwin America Scholarship Program
Criteria: This scholarship is for high school students. The company is asking students to submit essays of up to 500 words on what they think about technology advancements and how these advancements will change the way people learn in the future. Students must have a teacher sponsor and must give permission to use their photo and essay in publicity if they win.
Award: Seven (7) awards up to $1,000
Deadline: May 1, 2009

The University of Michigan: Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship
Criteria: This scholarship is available to any male attending the University of Michigan in the fall of 2009. The applicant is under no obligation to join any organization to be eligible for consideration. Students will be recognized in the areas of academics, athletics, and community service.
Award:
$1,000 and $500

Lawrence Tech: Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics
Criteria: TEACHERS ARE ASKED TO NOMINATE ONE STUDENT ONLY. This student must be in the 11th grade. The student selected to receive the award must be a high school junior, must complete at least one year of chemistry OR physics and two years of college preparatory mathematics courses with distinction by June, 2009, and the student must be an active and responsible citizen of the school and community
Award: $8,000 Lawrence Tech. Scholarship ($2,000 each year, renewable for four years)

"Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year" (SAMMY) 2009 Award Program
"Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year" (SAMMY) 2009 Award Program Criteria: This scholarship is for outstanding scholar athletes in grade 12. Judging of the applicants will be based on academic performance, athletic excellence, leadership, community service, and milk experience. All high school seniors are allowed and encouraged to nominate themselves, or they may be nominated.
Award: 25 winners will receive a $7,500 college
scholarship.
Deadline: March 6, 2009
