Conversations With Parents:

Parents interested in discussing substance abuse issues facing today’s ninth grade students can gather together to learn more about the resources available to them. Parents will receive information to help them remain proactive in the lives of their students. Parents will have the opportunity to create lines of communication with others in order to better understand their own students. Last week’s meeting was a great way for participants to share their thoughts and ask questions. The next meeting will be a planning meeting for participants to discover ways they can help prevent substance abuse. The third meeting will be held at the Freshman Campus Media Center on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 6:30 pm. Please spread the word to other parents of ninth graders. Invite them to come.

Congratulations to Jane Gibbons, Freshman Campus secretary! Mrs. Gibbons was named the Howell School Support Person of the Year for 2007-2008. She was surprised by the announcement on November 2, surrounded by her adoring co-workers.
