BASEBALL/SOFTBALL
I. Schedule:
Double round robin within the division (10 dates 20 points). Crossover double
headers with other division (6 dates, 18 points).
One (1) conference playoff game (1 date, 2 points)
Varsity softball and varsity baseball schedules are coordinated.
Junior varsity softball and junior varsity baseball schedules are coordinated.
The same alignment will be used for the playoff date.
II. Days to be scheduled:
Days: Monday – Wednesday – Friday, with Friday being the crossover
double headers
Time: Single: 4:00 pm __Double Header: 3:30 pm
9th Grade Baseball (all freshmen games will be 5 inning double headers)
Days: Tuesday – Thursday
Time: Single: 4:00 __ Double Header: 4:00
Rainouts:
Any rain out of a Divisional game will be made up as a double header at the
site of the second scheduled game. The first game of that double header will
be the rained out game for home team purposes. Any rain out or suspension of
a crossover or playoff game will be rescheduled at a mutual date at the site
of the original scheduled game if possible.
III. Championship
Division: Divisional and conference crossover games count. All games must be
played prior to the conference championship.
Conference: A one game championship game will be played between the divisional
winners. All other teams will play crossover games against the conference schools
with corresponding divisional records. Playoff crossovers will follow the 1
v 1, 2 v 2, 3 v 3, 4 v 4, 5 v 5, 6 v 6, format. Junior varsity teams will follow
their varsity teams.
Tie-Breaker: A. Head to head
__B. Run Differential head-to-head
__C. Fewest runs allowed within conference games
__D. Run differential in remaining division games
IV. Awards
Conference: There will be two All Conference teams of thirty six (36) players,
as determined by place of finish. Medals will be awarded as follows:

V. Team Awards
Division: Champions shall receive a permanent award.
Conference: Champions shall receive a permanent award.
VI. Kensington Lakes Activities Association (KLAA),
National Federation, and MHSAA Rules and Regulations:
The MHSAA ten (10) runs rule after 5 innings of play (mercy rule) is in effect
for all Association baseball and softball contest.
The MHSAA fifteen (15) runs rule after 3 innings of play (mercy rule) is in
effect for all Association softball contests.
The National Federation (NFHS) rule for a complete game is in effect.
