The Options Program and NovaNET:

Options is an afternoon / evening program for high school students seeking academic credit or working toward a diploma in a comfortable, flexible, caring, and innovative environment. Options students include individuals attending Howell High School who need additional credits, those who wish to take advantage of both traditional high school and Options classes (a “blended” schedule), as well as students who attend the Options program solely (full-time Options).

Options classes include PASS (self-paced courses utilizing a textbook format), NovaNET (on-line digital learning courses), and electives and core classes. Students may apply Options credit (.5 credit per course) toward a 22 - credit or 18 -credit diploma from Howell High School. However, the 18 credit option may only be awarded a year after the student’s senior class has graduated, or later.

To graduate on time, the student must complete the 22 credit diploma.
