Livingston County Early College

Livingston County Early College Informational Meeting

For 9th and 10th grade students and parents!

March 20th, 2024 from 5:30pm-6:30pm

Livingston County Early College

The Early College program allows students to earn 30-60 college credits in high school with free tuition and books. While in their senior year (grade 12), most programs start with a full college schedule, while others are an integration of college and high school courses. Students will have continual guidance in adjusting to college deadlines and calendars as they go through the program. They will also learn to advocate for themselves and transition into a college student. Students will postpone receiving their high school diploma until they complete their 13th year of school. In year 13, they continue with a full college schedule, complete a 40-hour internship, and gain knowledge about learning and career opportunities. Your students’ local school district covers the cost of tuition and books; Brighton Area Schools, Fowlerville Community Schools, Hartland Consolidated Schools, Howell Public Schools, and Pinckney Community Schools.

For students' success, they will also participate in our College Readiness Seminar (CRS) that is held during the summer between their Junior and Senior years. This is a multi-session, mandatory event that will prepare students for entering their first college-level course semester. Students will also participate in our Career Readiness Prep (CRP) during their last semester of year 12. This training helps prepare our students for entering their internship by focusing on important topics such as interviewing skills, resume writing, and more!
